+ How much is a tattoo?

It depends on the artist. Final price is dependent on size, detail of the design, location on the body where it will be placed, and finally which artist you’ve chosen. Artists rates vary, but you can email us with a description AND photo and we can give you a rough estimate. Even better, come in and have a consultation. We will go over everything with you and give you an estimate or even an exact price.

+ What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, and of course cash, for payments. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but you will not be able to leave a tip for your artist on your credit card.

+ What are your rates?

Our minimum is $100 and our hourly rate varies by artist (plus NJ sales tax). The best way to get an accurate price range is by booking a (free!) consultation with the artist. If you are not local to the shop, it is possibe to have a consultation through social media with your artist. In order for us to quote your idea, we need to consider the subject, size, placement on the body, detail, etc. You are also welcome to come into the shop and talk to one of our managers or artists, if they’re available. We’re always more than happy to help get you the information you need.

+ How should I prepare for my tattoo?

We recommend that you eat well before you come in, and remember to stay hydrated. If you start to feel woozy, have a piece of candy. Sugar is your friend in this situation. It’s best not to party the night before because alcohol can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours. Blood also dilutes our pigments, affecting both the appearance of your tattoo as well as the healing process. Remember to stay calm and cool, you’re in good hands. There’s nothing to stress over—it’s just a tattoo!

+ How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?

It takes a minimum of two weeks to “heal,” but it takes months for the skin to fully regenerate.

+ How do I care for my new tattoo?

Our aftercare instructions can be found here.

+ Are tattoo touch ups free?

If we did the tattoo within a six (6) month period, usually. Unless it’s clear that you did not follow our instructions; therefore, making it YOUR fault your tattoo did not heal properly in which case you must pay for it to be fixed. Feet and hands are not usually touched up for free. Also, tattoos on the hands, fingers, inner lip, white ink tattoos or other areas that your artist warned you prior to the procedure may require touch ups and thus is your choice knowing that certain areas do not hold ink well and you will be responsible for paying for a touch up. We do not make appointments for touch ups, walk-ins only. Also, touch ups can only be done Monday-Thursday. Contact the shop for availability the day you want to come in. If you’re looking to get a coverup of a tattoo, please keep in mind that many coverup tattoos can take more than one session to cover up your original tattoo. These multiple sessions, if necessary, are at the customer’s expense.

+ Is there anything I can't do after getting tattooed?

YES! You CANNOT submerge your new tattoo in water for a minimum of 2 weeks ; this includes ocean, lake, pool, hot tub, bath tub (showering is OF COURSE recommended). You cannot engage in heavy physical activity (heavy working out, sports etc) for at least a week. Nothing that will cause you to sweat profusely as it will irritate the tattoo. Clothing rubbing on your healing tattoo can be detrimental to healing. Also, keep the new tattoo out of direct sunlight and do not apply sunblock until it is fully healed. Understand the rules BEFORE you get tattooed. Be smart. Keep your new tattoo out of direct contact with any pets! Pet hair is a leading cause of infections in new tattoos and will hinder the healing process greatly!
